Welcome to the Advanced First Aid course. Approved by Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) in Alberta under the Canadian Red Cross, this course is equivalent to an OFA Level 3 certificate in British Columbia and meets the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) criteria (Standard Z1210-17 – Advanced).
In this course, you’ll combine theory and practice to develop essential emergency response skills. Focusing on assessment and treatment priorities, you’ll explore the primary and secondary surveys, recognizing signs and symptoms of medical conditions and traumatic injuries as the core of patient care.
