What is a Blended Course & is it Approved?
The short answer is: Yes! A blended course is 1/2 online and 1/2 in class and is approved!
The Canadian Red Cross's Blended version of the Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (Intermediate) course meets OH&S provincial & federal regulations, as well as, follows the CSA standards Z1210-17 and the "Alberta Plus" standards.
Instead of the traditional 2 days in class the blended option allows for the exact same certification with 50% less time in class thanks to the self-paced and user-friendly online component!
The online course is emailed to you from the Canadian Red Cross upon registration. Participants complete the online course any time before the in-class skills session.
Successful participants will receive a certification from the Canadian Red Cross that is recognized by Alberta Labour and valid for 3 years. Those who work in BC can add the out of jurisdiction package upon registration.
