Big hearts First Aid is a Canadian Red Cross Instructor Development Centre (IDC). The Red Cross Instructor Course empowers candidates to effectively teach Red Cross First Aid/CPR courses. The course presents educational learning theory and teaching principles to help the participant understand the basics of instruction. Please take a look at the Red Cross Instructor_Pathway process that must be completed to achieve the Red Cross Instructor certificate.

STEP 1

Pre-requisites and Skill Evaluation Session (7 – 8 Hours)

STEP 2 & 3

Online and In-class Sessions (34 Hours or 4 days)

STEP4

The Teaching Experience is scheduled once the online and in-class steps are successfully completed. You will meet twice with the Teaching Experience. Supervisor to discuss lesson plans and other details.

Certification
