Traffic Control Person (Flagger) Training

Traffic control persons play a critical role in protecting workers, motorists, and the public in construction and maintenance work zones. This course provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to safely direct traffic and maintain safe work zones.

The Traffic Control Person (Flagger) Training course delivered by Big Hearts First Aid teaches safe traffic control procedures, hazard awareness, and proper use of traffic control equipment in accordance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation and recognized industry best practices.

Participants will learn how to safely stop, slow, and release traffic using proper flagging signals, identify hazards in work zones, communicate effectively with motorists and other workers, and respond to emergency situations.

This course includes both classroom instruction and practical demonstrations to ensure participants understand how to apply safe traffic control procedures on the job.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Traffic Control Person (Flagger) Training certificate.
